Nestled in the sun-drenched village of Cap-d'Ail lies Hotel Normandy, our little gem — sixteen rooms, a lemon tree, and Plage Mala ten minutes down the lane.

A family-run hotel between the sea and the mountains, five minutes from Monaco and a world away from it. Michelle and her son Jo look after the house themselves, and most guests come back.

Seven room types, from the Small Room to the Suite with mountain view. Most look over the Mediterranean; all have air-conditioning, fibre wifi and Ortigia soaps.

Getting here

Nice airport is 30 minutes by car. Cap-d'Ail station is a kilometre away, Monaco is the next stop, and the Monaco heliport is two kilometres from the hotel.

A continental breakfast is served from 7:30 to 11:00, inside or on the terrace. The bar in reception serves coffee, wine, champagne and cocktails until 20:00, wherever you'd like to drink them.
